Simplex PhotoIV - A new template for photographer

It's been 5 years since the first day of SimplexDesign. We have many templates published. And now, as usual, another template. This one name Simplex Photo IV, the latest one in serie of templates for photographer to show their showcase. Hope it helpful to you all.

Install instruction

1. Download template file

2. Open template file in a word editor such as Notepad++

3. To edit main menu, find this code

Edit the link in code above to make sure it link to your labels, categories in your blog. Normally, structure of a label link is as following:

http://blogname.blogspot.com/search/label/label_name

4. After finish editing, save template and then upload to Blogger

5. Go to Blogger Dashboard -> Layout

6. To edit Header logo

Click on edit link in SimplexPhotoIV (Header) widget

In widget dialog, upload your logo and choose the option "Instead of title and description"

7. To edit header social network

Click on edit link in header social network

Paste the following code into widget content, please remember to edit the link to your social accounts:

8. To edit main menu

Click on edit link in main menu widget

Copy and paste the code from step 2 into widget content

9. To show content in homepage

Click on edit link in Feature widget

Add the label name which you want to show posts, for example, I want to show latest posts under "gallery" label in homepage, I add the label name "gallery" into widget content. Please note that name of label is case sensitive.

10. Under Blog Posts widget, you will see a widget name Sidebar, it's a widget that contain search form, recent posts and recent comments function in the sidebar. You can add/remove any widget here. The widget added will be shown in the sidebar.

How to use this template

There are two type of Blog post display support in this template. One is photo post

And the other display like a normal blog post.

To create a photo post, just create a post as normal and then add the label "gallery".

To create a blog post, create a post as normal and then add the label "blog"
That's all.

Note
To make it easier for you, I already added a sample blog data file (xml format). This data file is extracted from my demo blog. So you can download and then import to your blog to make one site like my live demo.
(By going to Blogger Dashboard -> Other -> Import Blog -> Click Browse and then choose sample blog data file -> Check "Automatically publish all imported posts and pages" and then click Import Blog )
